What is mediation?

Mediation is a process in which a neutral third party facilitates
communication between disputing parties, enabling them to reach a
mutually acceptable agreement that reflects both parties’ needs and
interests.

Why is mediation better than filing a lawsuit?

In a lawsuit, lawyers and judges are in control, while in mediation,
the parties themselves are in control. Because the parties design
and develop their own settlement agreements, they arrive at creative
solutions that work for them. Mediation is also cost and time efficient.

How long does mediation take?

Situations will vary but in general a full divorce via mediation will
require between 3 and 8 sessions of approximately 2 hours each.
